Frequently asked questions

The 12 questions we field most often before a booking. If your question isn't here, the fastest way to a clear answer is the contact form or a WhatsApp message — we reply within 24 hours.

01

How does booking a private tour with MBS work?

Send us your dates, group size, and any must-see destinations through the trip planner or contact form. Within 24 hours, a Morocco specialist replies with a tailored proposal. Once you confirm, a 20–30% deposit secures your trip; the balance is paid in cash or by transfer on arrival. We recommend reaching out 4–8 weeks ahead of your dates.
02

What's included in the price of an MBS tour?

Included: private vehicle and English-speaking driver, fuel, tolls, riad/hotel accommodation in en-suite rooms, daily breakfast, entry fees to UNESCO sites in your itinerary, and 24/7 WhatsApp support. Not included: international flights, lunches and dinners (unless specified), tips for driver and guides, personal travel insurance, and any optional extras like camel rides or hammam visits.
03

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Cancel 45+ days before departure: full deposit refund minus a 5% processing fee. 30–44 days: 50% of the deposit refunded. Under 30 days: deposit is non-refundable, but rebooking within 12 months is free. Force-majeure events (declared border closure, FCDO/State Department evacuation advisory, etc.) trigger a full refund regardless of timing.
04

Can I customize my itinerary?

Yes — every itinerary is built around you. Tell us how long you have, which destinations matter, what pace you want, and what kind of accommodation suits you. We swap days, add or remove stops, and arrange specific experiences (cooking class, Atlas trek, surf lesson). The published tours are starting templates, not fixed packages.
05

What kind of vehicle and driver should I expect?

Air-conditioned 4×4 (Toyota Land Cruiser or equivalent) for groups of 1–4, minivan (Mercedes Vito or Renault Trafic) for 5–7. All vehicles are licensed, insured, and serviced regularly. Drivers are full-time MBS team members, speak conversational English (or French, Spanish, German on request), and average 8+ years driving Moroccan roads.
06

What languages do your drivers and guides speak?

English is the default. French, Spanish, German, and Italian-speaking drivers and licensed city guides are available on request — please flag this when you submit your enquiry so we can match the right team. Specialised guides for hiking, history, food, and photography are also available in those languages.
07

Is Morocco safe to visit?

Yes. The U.S. State Department, UK FCDO, and French Quai d'Orsay all classify Morocco at the equivalent of Level 2 — "exercise normal caution" — the same level as France, Spain, and the UK. Petty theft in crowded souks is the most common incident; violent crime against tourists is rare. See our honest answer from Marrakech for the long version with sources.
08

Do I need a visa to visit Morocco?

Visa-free for citizens of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and most South American countries, for stays up to 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. If you're not sure, check the Morocco entry requirements at the U.S. State Department or your country's foreign ministry.
09

Can you accommodate children, dietary requirements, or accessibility needs?

Yes to all three. Most of our destinations are family-friendly; we add booster seats, family-suite riads, and slower pacing as needed. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, gluten-free — flag dietary requirements when you book and every meal stop will be checked in advance. For mobility limitations, we plan vehicle-accessible routes and skip cobblestone-heavy stretches.
10

What's the best time of year to visit Morocco?

March–May and September–November are the sweet spots: dry, warm days, cool nights, manageable crowds. Summer (June–August) is hot in the south but excellent on the Atlantic coast (Essaouira) or in the Atlas mountains. Winter (December–February) brings snow to the High Atlas and is perfect for cities like Fes and Marrakech without the crowds.
11

How do we communicate during the trip?

WhatsApp. Every guest is added to a dedicated WhatsApp thread with your driver and your assigned MBS trip manager before departure. We reply 24/7 during your trip — for itinerary changes, restaurant recommendations, or anything urgent. Voice calls work too, but WhatsApp is the fastest path.
12

Do you offer group tours, or only private?

Only private — that's the entire MBS model. Your vehicle, driver, guides, and itinerary are yours alone. Minimum group size is 1 (solo travellers welcome). Maximum is typically 7 per vehicle, but larger groups can be split across vehicles travelling the same route. Family groups, friend groups, honeymooners, and solo adventurers all book the same way.
